Toledo area attorney accused of heroin possession

A Toledo lawyer who previously ran for judge was found with heroin inside his wallet during a North Toledo traffic stop this week, according to a Toledo police report. Kenneth W. Phillips, 60, of the 3000 block of Hopewell Place in West Toledo, is charged with possessing less than 1 gram of heroin, a fifth-degree felony.

A Navarre-Dustin-Isaac Streets stakeholder's meeting will be held on June 5 at 9 a.m. in Oregon Council Chambers to discuss projects along Navarre Avenue. Leach, 29, of the 2300 block of Pickle Road, is charged with corrupting another with drugs without purpose to cause serious physical harm, a second-degree felony; trafficking in drugs, a fifth-degree felony; and drug abuse, also a fifth-degree felony.
